It takes quite a bit to get us to eat at Subway these days. There isn’t much to get excited about, after all. Instead of making sandwiches that don’t suck, Subway has been focusing on chasing trends lately. Antibiotic-free meats, “carved” turkey, and bullcrap like that. Meh. If we were important people, and we were in charge of new menu items for a major restaurant chain, how would we come up with our next new thing? Maybe smoke a little weed. Get a little high. It seems like every new thing at Pizza Hut these days is a gimmick. Recall our reviews of the Twisted Crust Pizza or (gasp!) the Hot Dog Bites Pizza. Yes, instead of focusing on making the regular pizzas better, Pizza Hut just throws new stuff out there to get people in the door. Then, it drops the item from the menu once the novelty wears off.
