Fewd Bite: Arby’s Buffalo Chicken Slider (New/Limited Time Only)

Seems like it has been a while since we did a Fewd Bite. What are those? We don’t remember either. Too much alcohol over the last year… Arby’s has added a new Slider to the menu. If you recall (assuming you aren’t a drunk like us!), Arby’s introduced its Sliders last year. We did a review on all of them. Refresh yourself here. The new addition is the Buffalo Chicken Slider. How original! The new sandwich has been added to the menu for a limited time only. This, despite the other Sliders being regularly available. Interesting move, considering the fact…

Review: Pizza Hut Bacon Stuffed Crust Pizza (New/Limited Time Only)

It seems like every new thing at Pizza Hut these days is a gimmick. Recall our reviews of the Twisted Crust Pizza or (gasp!) the Hot Dog Bites Pizza. Yes, instead of focusing on making the regular pizzas better, Pizza Hut just throws new stuff out there to get people in the door. Then, it drops the item from the menu once the novelty wears off. We used to like Pizza Hut once upon a time. These days, we aren’t so enthralled. It could have to do with being served one too many shit pizzas. We could go on and…

What Could Go Wrong? McDonald’s Testing Fresh Beef

Hello, kids! We bring you yet another new feature today. Because why not have a thousand different features? Why not, dammit?! We come across stuff all the time where our only reaction is, “What could go wrong?” So it seemed logical to make a new feature out of it. We’re smart, see?! Actually, the credit on this one goes to The Only One (Denny’s better half!). This one is all her. To start the new feature, we give you McDonald’s testing fresh beef! According to CNN Money, McDonald’s is testing using fresh beef at 14 locations in Dallas. The fresh…

Local Review: Spangles French Dip Steakburger (Limited Time Only)

As a service to all of our Kansas friends, it is time for another local review. We have reviewed an item at Spangles before. If you want background on Spangles, check it out here. For those not familiar, Spangles is known in these parts (what are we in 1890?) as having some unique takes on burgers. That is certainly true with Spangles’ newest creation. The French Dip Steakburger is served with French onion au jus sauce. The burger comes with two black Angus steakburgers, melted swiss cheese, onion rings, and a toasted sourdough bun. This is certainly a unique take…

Review: Cracker Barrel Sharp Cheddar Macaroni & Cheese (New)

Cracker Barrel brand cheese has been around since 1954. Just recently, the company has started making macaroni and cheese. You see where this is going… First of all, let us say that this is not the same Cracker Barrel as Cracker Barrel Old Country Store. That place is different. Confused yet? Have another beer… This Cracker Barrel is now owned by Kraft. So Kraft has pushed it to the next level by offering the new mac and cheese. There are a bunch of flavors available. Sharp Cheddar, Sharp White Cheddar, Cheddar Havarti, and Sharp Cheddar & Bacon are available, all…

Review: Burger King Whopper Dog (New)

Burger King introduced its new Grilled Dogs back in February. If you don’t remember, check out our review here. Now, BK has introduced a new Grilled Dog to the lineup. The Whopper Dog has arrived. This stands to reason. The Whopper is Burger King’s signature menu item. So, making a Whopper into a hot dog seems like a natural progression. We suppose. But is it really a good idea? The Fewd Snobs take the hit for ‘ya here, people. Because we’re drunk…um…good guys. BK describes the Whopper Dog as, “… flame-grilled hot dog made with 100% beef topped with lettuce,…

Oh Hell No! Heinz BBQ Sauces (New)

Check this out. For our next “Oh Hell No!” we give you Heinz new BBQ sauces! Yes, it appears that Heinz doesn’t make enough money making ketchup, vinegar, relish, and the tons of other foods that it puts its name on. No, not good enough. Now it is going into the BBQ sauce business. First of all, we think Heinz is overrated. So let’s just get that out of the way right now. We don’t even buy Heinz ketchup. Or catsup. Or however the hell you spell it. Everywhere you go there are Heinz bottles of ketchup. Precious. Of course,…
