Rant: McDonald’s, Why Do You Keep Failing with Breakfast?

Hi, Snobs.  Denny here.  I am introducing a new feature on our site.  This feature is called “Rant.”  In our rants, we will be talking about stuff that pisses us off.  Pretty straightforward!  Expect our “Rants” to be a little more “hard hitting” as compared to our reviews and other features.  This is where it gets real, people.  So if a little language scares you off, you might want to leave now! And now we will move on to the first Fewd Snobs rant.  McDonald’s “All Day Breakfast.” The Only One wanted an Egg McMuffin last night for an evening…

Article: We Got McScrewed on McDonald’s McPick Two Menu

Hello ladies and gentlemen, Denny here.  Although Herman got McScrewed too, I am writing this one.  Because I’m pissed off.  I’m usually pissed off.  But that’s not the point right now. By now, you already know that McDonald’s has gotten rid of the regular “dollar menu,” and replaced it with the “$1 $2 $3 value menu.”  Part of the new menu includes the $2 McPick Two menu.  The way this new menu is supposed to work is that you pick two items from the list (McDouble, small fries, McChicken, 3 piece mozzarella sticks), and you pay two bucks.  Easy enough,…

Article: Mountain Dew 1.5 Liter Bottles Shrunk

Denny here.  Hello, people! I am a big fan of Mountain Dew.  These days, I don’t drink much soda (or pop, depending on where in the country you are!)  But, I still have a weakness for Dew. For years, I have been trying to figure out just what Mountain Dew is supposed to be.  It is a citrus drink, evidently.  But I don’t really think it tastes like citrus.  I think more of Squirt when I think citrus soda.  Mountain Dew is kind of its own thing.  Just like Dr. Pepper is its own thing. According to Wikipedia, the main…

Article: Pizza Hut Makes It Right

Good customer service is a thing of the past, as a general rule.  It seems that when dealing with just about anybody in the service industries, giving good service is a lost art.  That said, I had an experience last week that was well worth sharing with you. About a week ago, I ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut for dinner.  My order was not monumental.  I ordered a large pan crust pizza with half Italian sausage and half pepperoni.  I also ordered extra cheese. I went to pick it up.  Mind you, I have been going to this Pizza…

Review: Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill Fried Bologna Sandwich

I was in Bricktown in Oklahoma City over the 4th of July weekend.  It was a nice, relaxing trip.  For those of you not familiar, get familiar.  Go there.  It is a great place to visit and hang out.  Read about it here. I will say that I went there with the intention of not reviewing anything.  I just wanted to “chillax.”  I didn’t want to review anything.  I didn’t want to work. So we come across Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill.  Although my intention wasn’t to review anything, I took a picture of what I had…

Article: Why Wendy’s Sucks Now

Hello, Snobs.  Denny here.  I will be flying solo on this article.  Herman is missing.  He disappeared.  I think he may be passed out in an alley drunk!  In any case, you get me for this one.  Yay. I have wanted to write about Wendy’s for a while now.  Some events in the land of Twitter today finally prompted me to write this article. So let’s start there, shall we… I was looking through what was trending on Twitter today, and found this: Wendy’s has a promoted trend/hashtag called #BecauseBaconator.  Then, I found this promoted tweet in my feed: A…

Review: Oscar Mayer Baked Cooked Ham

A Fewd Snob loves sandwiches.  I don’t care if I buy them out, if they are pre-made, or if I make them (which I hate doing because yes, I am THAT lazy!), but I love sandwiches.  I’ll even try gas station sandwiches (within some kind of reason, of course!) Because of this sandwich fixation, I can stand at the deli counter and lunchmeat coolers at the grocery store for a long time.  And even when I am not buying lunchmeat, I usually walk through the aisle just to see if there is anything new. Oscar Mayer is best known for its…
